Plastic Molded Lid - Hinge Pull Out Tensile Test

Objective Measure the force required to break the corner hinges on a Dumpster lid.

Testing The tests were performed using an Instron Universal Testing machine. A ½” diameter rod that is inserted through the hinge and attached to the load cell and the section of lid that contains the hinge is attached to the movable member
